Il rettangolo rosso posto tra due pannelli verticali è un centro di attrazione. Ai lati, due insiemi di persone, maschere, ruoli si proiettano l’uno sull’altro in un reciproco moltiplicarsi di sguardi.

I chiaroscuri si staccano su superfici nette e uniformi. Come simboli fuori dal tempo e dalle situazioni, le figure sono suggerite, le storie non sono narrate: è un incontro di umanità. E’ una costruzione di senso delicata, sfaccettata, mediata; così come le aspettative che dall’incontro si generano. Aspettative ben riposte o distorte, eccessive o realizzate, disilluse, soddisfatte o ridimensionate.

Un ritmo visivo di tagli verticali crea uno spazio in cui i volti si propagano, si trasformano, si nascondono. E’ un ritmo di neri e rossi, di opachi e lucidi, di pittura e stampa, in un continuo percorso di ridefinizione di ciò che dall’altro ci si aspetta e che, a sua volta, è capace di modificare l’altro.

Intercambiabili, i due pannelli possono divergere oppure convergere sul rettangolo rosso, spostando l'equilibrio e avvicinando o allontanando la possibilità di trovare nell’aspettativa un punto comune.

The red rectangle between the two vertical panels is a center of attraction. At the sides, two groups of people, masks, roles project themselves one on the other, in a reciprocal multiplication of glances.

The chiaroscuros come out of sharp and uniform surfaces. Like symbols beyond time and situations, the figures are just suggested, the stories are not narrated: it is an encounter of humanity. The construction of sense is delicate, multifaceted, mediated; as well as the expectations generated by the encounter. Expectations that are reasonable or distorted, excessive or realized, disappointed, fulfilled or reconsidered.

A visual rhythm of vertical cuts creates a space in which the faces propagate, transform, hide. It is a rhythm of blacks and reds, of opaque and glossy, of painting and print, in a continuous redefinition of what one expects of the other - and that can, in turn, modify the other.

The two panels are interchangeable and can converge or diverge from the red rectangle, thus moving the balance and bringing near or putting away the possibility to find a common point among expectations.
